The Body Keeps the Score – Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma – Bessel Van Der Kolk (the current definitive book on how to heal trauma, highly readable, for clinicians and patients)
Buddha’s Brain, The Practical Neuroscience of Happiness, Love, Wisdom – Rick Hanson (how the brain works in easy language and many exercises to cultivate calm, heal trauma, and live fully, a real must-have read, one of the best books ) 
Codependent No More: How to Stop Controlling Others and Start Caring for Yourself – Melody Beattie (a classic on healing codependence)
Emotional Intelligence – Daniel Goleman (recognizing the “heartful” intelligence in being human) 
Facing Codependence: What It Is, Where It Comes From, How It Sabotages Our Lives  – Pia Mellody (a classic on healing from codependence) 
Set Boundaries, Find Peace: A Guide to Reclaiming Yourself – Nedra Glover Tawwab (great book about why boundaries are important and how to do it)
A General Theory of Love – Lewis, Amini and Lannon (a clear, poetic and engaging explanation of transformation and healing)  
My Grandmother's Hands – Resmaa Menakem (Extraordinary help on healing the racial trauma that lives inside all our bodies in America. Compelling, insightful and profound, he offers body and mindfulness practices that move healing forward, drawing from and combining therapeutic expertise, social criticism and practical steps. This is a must-read book for the profound call of these times to promote our own and our collective healing!) 
Heartmath Solution – Doc Childre and Howard Martin (a practical guide to living from the heart, excellent interface for people in the corporate world) 
The Master and His Emissary – Iain McGilchrist (incredible read about the relationship of the right and left brain in culture, history, art and politics—one of the most important books I've ever read) 
Soul Without Shame – Byron Brown (dealing with shame critic) 
The Spiritual Practices of Rumi – Will Johnson (exercises from Rumi to deepen and delight your soul!) 
Unwinding the Belly, Healing with Gentle Touch – Allison Post (learn to have a body in a delicious way, great for helping your gut) 
The Upward Spiral: Using Neuroscience to Reverse the Course of Depression, One Small Step at a Time – Alex Korb (Alex is like your cool cousin who happens to be a neuroscientist, who has dealt with some depression himself: he demystifies what's happening in the brain and offers a practical and effective approach to feeling better)
Waking the Tiger – Peter Levine (recognizing and dealing with trauma, the classic book)  
When Things Fall Apart – Pema Chodran (when the rug gets pulled from under you how to find meaning and love yourself)
