The Gold Light. A Grounding, Refreshing Visualization

  • Stretch and yawn, show your fillings, make an ahhh! sound. Spend some time feeling the goodness from the stretch and yawn. This is already breaking the “trance” of busyness, critical voices, etc. It’s already flushing out adrenalin and cortisol (the keep-busy, keep scared hormones) and replacing them with good feelings. 
  • Seat yourself comfortably, fine to use the back of your chair as support, but don’t collapse. 
  •  Press the flat of one foot into the floor until your quad on that side engage, and perhaps that side of your butt too. Let go. Now do the other side. Slowly. Go back and forth several times. Rest for a moment. 
  • Wiggle your sitsbones. 
  • Feel the nice tripod of your feet and sitsbones. Let your spine rise out of your pelvis, head balanced on top. (No sitting up straight! That is stressful! Just let your spine rise). 
  • Take a slow breath in your nose and on the outbreath make a gentle audible sigh. The sound that goes along with the sigh is important. This also flushes your nervous system and refreshes you. 
  • Now let your eyes sit back in the seacaves of your skull, let them soften and sit back. Right now there is nothing for them to look for or do or evaluate. Let them sit back and soften. 
  • Take your awareness from your forehead and put it in the back of your head and sit down there on a couch and rest! 
  • Now let the crown of your head gently open and imagine the purest gold light of the universe flowing into you. Let your skull receive it like a cup. No effort on your part. You are just the cup that receives. So that your skull is gold, your brain gold, face gold, eyes gold. 
  • Slowly let the gold pour down your neck and shoulders, so that your neck and shoulders and arms and hands are gold, and the extra pours out of your fingertips. 
  • Now the gold fills the cup of your heart. Another portal opens in your back, behind your heart, like a whale’s blow hole, and the gold light enters there and also fill your heart. So that your heart fills up with gold until it overflows. 
  • Now your heart is gold, your lungs gold, your belly gold, your ribcage gold, all your organs gold, your pelvis gold. 
  • Your bones are gold, your blood is gold, your nervous system gold. 
  • Now the gold spreads down your legs, so that your legs and knees and calves and feet, your muscles and bones and flesh are gold, and the extra pours out of the bottom of your feet. 
  • Feel your connection to the earth, her body which is so much bigger than yours, and let the gold pour down, and feel your own energy in a root or ribbon or beam of light connect down to the center of the welcoming earth. 
  • Rest. 
  • When you are ready draw up your energy from the planet’s core, thank the flow of gold, and open your eyes. 
  • Particularly notice any felt sense of refreshment—calmness, peace, warmth, flow, whatever it is for you. 
  • Notice who is feeling refreshed. That is your Wise Self. 
  • Allow a moment of gratefulness.
