Here's a piece of creative “discipline”—we need leisure in order to create. Staring at the café ceiling for an hour with no demands allows the right brain time to make connections and come up with ideas that it otherwise wouldn’t have time for. This is scientific fact! The “discipline” comes when you schedule this time for yourself and stick by it. I know! I’m working on my fifth album and my novel.
